These are the terms for using Rove, the farm-management service at rove.farm and app.rove.farm. We've written them to be readable — the short version of each section is honestly what it says.
Rove is operated from New Zealand ("Rove", "we", "us"). You can reach us any time at hello@rove.farm — or billing@rove.farm for anything to do with subscriptions and payments.
You need an account to use Rove, and you're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe. A farm in Rove has one owner, who can invite other people as members. The owner is responsible for who has access to their farm.
You must be at least 16 to create an account, and the information you give us (like your email address) needs to be accurate so we can reach you about your account.
All the information you put into Rove — paddocks, stock records, tasks, journal entries, photos — belongs to you. We host it for you; we don't own it. If you delete your farm or account, it's deleted from our systems (see the Privacy Policy for details).
If something's gone wrong — you were charged in error, or Rove genuinely didn't work for you — email billing@rove.farm and we'll sort it out like humans. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or equivalent consumer law where you live.
Use Rove for managing farms. Don't attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, access other people's farms without invitation, or use Rove for anything unlawful. We can suspend accounts that do — though we'd rather talk first.
We work hard to keep Rove fast and available, and we back up your data — but like any online service we can't promise zero downtime, and Rove is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. Features may evolve over time; if we ever retire something significant, we'll give you notice and a way to export what it held.
Weather forecasts, seasonal suggestions, and similar guidance in Rove are helpful estimates, not professional advice — the animals, crops, and decisions on your farm remain yours.
To the maximum extent the law permits, our total liability to you in connection with Rove is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't legally be excluded, including your non-excludable rights under New Zealand consumer law.
You can stop using Rove and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. If we ever discontinue Rove entirely, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice and time to export your data.
We may update these terms from time to time; if a change meaningfully affects you, we'll email you before it takes effect. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
